How the AI Strength Report works
What the Strength Report contains, how the score is calculated, and how to use it.
The Strength Report is MigraIQ's AI-generated analysis of your visa application. It gives you an honest, detailed assessment of how strong your application looks before you submit it.
What is in the report?
Overall score
Your application receives a score out of 100. The score is calculated using two inputs:
- AI assessment: The AI reads your intake answers, checklist completion, and OCR-extracted document data to evaluate the overall quality of your application.
- Signal penalties: Each unresolved Signal reduces the maximum possible score. Critical Signals cost 15 points, High cost 8, Medium cost 3, and Low cost 1. Each missing mandatory document costs 5 points.
The final score is the lower of the AI score and the formula ceiling. This ensures that serious unresolved problems are always reflected in the score, even if the AI is otherwise impressed.
Score tiers
| Score | Tier |
|---|---|
| 80 and above | Strong |
| 70 to 79 | Good |
| 60 to 69 | Needs Work |
| Below 60 | Critical |
Written assessment
The report includes a full written analysis covering:
- Summary: A brief overview of your application's overall position.
- Overall assessment: A detailed narrative that explains the strengths of your application, what might raise concerns with a visa officer, and the most important things to address before submitting.
- Sections: Multiple topical sections that go deeper on specific aspects such as financial stability, travel purpose, ties to home country, and document completeness.
How to read the report
Start with the score, then read the overall assessment. Then work through the individual sections, paying particular attention to any that highlight weaknesses. Cross-reference any issues with the Signals on your case and address them before your application.
Can I regenerate the report?
- Essential plan users: You have one report credit. Once used, the report cannot be regenerated.
- Pro and Agency plan users: You can regenerate the report as many times as you like. This is useful if you upload new documents or resolve Signals and want to see your updated score.
How long does the report last?
- Essential: 90 days from the date of generation.
- Pro and Agency: The report does not expire.
Is the report a guarantee?
No. The Strength Report is a preparation tool, not a prediction of outcome. Visa decisions are made by immigration officers who consider many factors beyond what any AI can fully assess. Use the report to identify and fix weaknesses, not as a final verdict.
