⚠️ Please read this disclaimer carefully before using MigraIQ
MigraIQ (Immigration Intelligence) is a document preparation and general information tool. It is not a law firm, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), or any form of regulated immigration adviser. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, immigration advice, or a recommendation specific to your individual legal circumstances. Using MigraIQ does not create a lawyer-client or consultant-client relationship.
1. Not a Law Firm or Licensed Immigration Consultant
In Canada, the provision of regulated immigration advice and representation for compensation is governed by section 91 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27 (IRPA) and the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Act, S.C. 2019, c. 29, s. 292.
Under these laws, only the following persons may represent or advise individuals in immigration matters for compensation:
- A lawyer or Quebec notary who is a member in good standing of their provincial law society or the Chambre des notaires du Québec
- A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) who is a member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC)
MigraIQ is not regulated by the CICC. MigraIQ does not provide regulated immigration representation or advice. We provide general information about immigration documentation requirements — not specific legal or immigration advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
There is a well-established legal distinction between:
- General information (permitted) — describing what documents are typically required for a specific visa category; flagging whether a document appears to be missing; explaining general processing steps
- Specific advice (regulated) — advising you which immigration program to apply under; assessing whether your specific facts make you legally eligible; representing you in a hearing or before an immigration authority
MigraIQ provides the former. For the latter, you must consult a qualified professional. You can find a licensed RCIC through the CICC's public register or a qualified immigration lawyer through your provincial law society.
2. No Legal Advice
Nothing on this Platform — including Strength Reports, document checklists, application summaries, cover letter templates, gap analyses, readiness scores, or any other output generated by MigraIQ — constitutes legal advice of any kind.
All content and outputs are provided for general information and document preparation purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional legal or immigration advice and must not be relied upon as such. The information provided does not account for all relevant facts of your individual situation, the nuances of applicable law, or the discretion exercised by immigration officers when assessing applications.
If you have questions about your specific immigration situation, you should seek advice from a qualified immigration lawyer or a licensed RCIC registered with the CICC.
3. AI-Generated Content — Limitations and Risks
MigraIQ uses artificial intelligence to generate assessments, checklists, strength scores, and recommendations. You must understand the limitations of AI-generated content:
- AI can make errors: AI systems, including large language models, can generate inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading outputs — commonly referred to as "hallucinations". An AI may confidently state something incorrect
- AI knowledge has a cutoff date: Immigration laws, visa requirements, document checklists, processing times, and fees change frequently. AI models have a training data cutoff and may not reflect the most recent policy changes from IRCC or other immigration authorities
- AI does not understand your full circumstances: Our analysis is based only on what you have told us. Factors not disclosed to the Platform — personal history, criminal record, previous visa refusals, health conditions, ties to your home country that you have not described — cannot be incorporated
- AI outputs are not legal determinations: A "strong" score from MigraIQ does not mean your application will be approved. A low score does not mean it will be refused. The Platform produces an informational readiness indicator, not a legal assessment
You must independently verify all information, document requirements, and eligibility criteria against official government sources before submitting any visa application. For Canada, the official source is Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
4. No Guarantee of Visa Approval
Using MigraIQ, completing an assessment, achieving a high readiness score, or generating a document pack does not guarantee, predict, or increase the probability of visa approval.
Visa and immigration decisions are made solely by the relevant government authority (such as IRCC for Canada, UKVI for the United Kingdom, the Home Department for Australia, or the relevant consulate or embassy). These decisions depend on many factors entirely outside our control, including but not limited to:
- The individual discretion of the processing officer
- Current immigration priorities, quotas, and processing volumes
- Changes in immigration policy occurring after your assessment
- Information or documents not disclosed to MigraIQ
- Factors specific to your personal history that may not be captured by any preparation tool
MigraIQ accepts no liability whatsoever for any visa refusal, denial, or adverse immigration outcome, regardless of the readiness score or outputs generated by the Platform. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability.
5. Information Accuracy and Currency
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information and guidance within MigraIQ accurate and current. However, immigration law, policy, and document requirements change frequently — sometimes with little notice. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, or currency of any information on this Platform.
You must always verify current requirements through official government sources immediately before preparing or submitting your application. Do not rely on any checklist or requirement listed on MigraIQ as a substitute for checking the current official requirements directly.
We are not responsible for any decisions made, actions taken, or losses incurred in reliance on information provided through MigraIQ.
6. Jurisdiction-Specific Variations
Immigration requirements vary significantly by:
- The applicant's country of citizenship and residence
- The destination country and specific visa category
- The applicant's individual immigration history and personal circumstances
- The visa office or consulate processing the application
MigraIQ currently focuses on Canada visitor visa (Temporary Resident Visa) applications and is expanding to additional countries and visa types. Content and checklists developed for one jurisdiction may not apply to another. Always confirm you are reviewing the requirements applicable to your specific situation.

We are committed to ensuring that all advertising claims are accurate, substantiated, and not misleading in any material respect. We do not make unsubstantiated claims about visa success rates or the effectiveness of using MigraIQ compared to not using it.
If you believe any of our advertising is inaccurate or misleading, please contact us at legal@migraiq.com.

This Platform may contain links to external websites, including government immigration portals, official country websites, and third-party services. We strongly encourage you to use official government immigration websites as your primary source of information. In Canada, that is canada.ca/immigration.
