Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how MigraIQ ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on migraiq.com. It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control their use.

For broader information about how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and store certain information about your preferences or activity.

We also use related technologies such as:

  • Pixel tags / web beacons — tiny transparent images embedded in pages or emails that signal when content has been viewed
  • Browser local storage — a mechanism similar to cookies but stored in your browser's local storage
  • JavaScript tracking snippets — scripts embedded in pages that collect usage data

This Policy covers all of the above. We refer to them collectively as "cookies".

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Cookies on MigraIQ fall into two categories. Essential cookies are deployed as soon as you visit or use the Platform. All other cookies are only activated after you have given your explicit consent via our cookie consent banner.

Category A — Strictly Necessary (Essential) Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. Without them, services you have asked for — such as staying signed in — cannot be provided. They cannot be switched off. No consent is required for these cookies under applicable law.

3. Cookie Consent

When you first visit MigraIQ, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You can choose to:

  • Accept all cookies — enables essential cookies and all analytics/advertising cookies
  • Reject all non-essential — essential cookies only; no advertising or analytics tracking
  • Customise preferences — selectively enable individual categories or specific cookies

Your consent preferences are stored and respected for future visits. You can change your preferences at any time — look for the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer or settings area.

Google Consent Mode v2 (EU / EEA Users)

For visitors in the EU and EEA, we implement Google Consent Mode v2. This means that:

  • Google Analytics and Google Ads are set to a default "denied" state for all consent parameters (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization)
  • These are only set to "granted" after you explicitly accept analytics and/or advertising cookies via the banner
  • No advertising pixel fires before consent is confirmed

4. Third-Party Cookies and Scripts

Some cookies are set by third parties on our behalf (first-party cookies) and some are set directly by third-party providers (third-party cookies). Third-party providers have their own privacy policies and terms of service which govern their use of data collected via their cookies.

The advertising platforms listed in Category B above receive certain data (such as page URL, conversion events, and cookie identifiers) when their scripts run on our site. This data is processed by those platforms under their own privacy frameworks and may be used by them for cross-site tracking and advertising personalisation, subject to your consent and their policies. Their privacy policies are linked in the cookie table above.

For EU/EEA users: we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) certification of Google and LinkedIn for the lawfulness of data transfers to those platforms. Meta and TikTok advertising features for EU users are activated only where legally compliant transfer mechanisms are in place.

5. Managing Cookies via Your Browser

In addition to using our consent banner, you can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View all cookies currently stored on your device
  • Delete individual or all cookies
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block all cookies (note: this will prevent MigraIQ from functioning correctly, as essential cookies are required for authentication)

Browser-specific instructions:

6. Platform-Level Opt-Outs for Advertising

In addition to browser controls and our consent banner, you can opt out of interest-based advertising from specific platforms and advertising networks:

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your activity tracked. There is currently no agreed industry standard for responding to DNT signals. We do not currently alter our tracking practices in response to DNT signals, but our cookie consent mechanism gives you equivalent control over non-essential cookies.

We do, however, respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal for California users, which we treat as an opt-out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as required under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we introduce new cookies or technologies, or as applicable law changes. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. If we materially expand the categories of cookies we use, we will notify you via the consent banner and, for existing users, by email.
