How to create your first case
Step-by-step instructions for starting a new visa case in MigraIQ.
A "case" in MigraIQ represents one visa application. Each case has its own checklist, uploaded documents, and generated report. Here is how to create your first one.
Step 1: Go to My Cases
From the sidebar, click Cases. If you are a new user, the page will be empty. Click the New Case button in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Fill in the case details
You will be asked for three things:
- Case title: Give the case a name you will recognize, such as "Canada TRV 2024" or your client's name if you are an agency user.
- Visa program: Select the immigration program this case is for. For example, "Canada Visitor Visa (TRV)".
- Client tag (optional, Agency plan only): A short label for organizing cases by client. You can filter your cases list by this tag later.
Click Create Case to continue.
Step 3: Complete the intake form
You will be taken straight to the intake form. This is a short questionnaire about your background, finances, travel purpose, and ties to your home country. Your answers are used to generate a personalized checklist, so take your time and be accurate.
The form is divided into sections. You can move between them using the Previous and Next buttons. Your progress is saved automatically at the end of each section, so you can close the tab and come back later without losing anything.
Step 4: Review your checklist
Once the intake form is complete, MigraIQ generates your document checklist. This list shows every document required for your program and situation, organized by category. Start gathering the documents you see marked as Missing.
How many cases can I have?
Your active case limit depends on your plan:
| Plan | Active cases |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Essential | 1 |
| Pro | Unlimited |
| Agency | Unlimited |
If you are on Free or Essential and want to start a new case, you will need to archive your current case first, or upgrade to Pro or Agency.
